Air India has inaugurated the Air India Centre of Digital Innovation (CODi) in Kochi. The center will focus on enhancing customer digital experiences and leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data analytics to establish Air India as a modern, world-class airline.
A landmark inauguration
The CODi center was inaugurated by Tata Group Chairman N Chandrasekaran, who also chairs Air India. The event was attended by Campbell Wilson, CEO & MD, Air India, Dr Satya Ramaswamy, Chief Digital & Technology Officer, and P. Balaji, Group Head, Governance, Regulatory & Compliance & Corporate Affairs.

A workspace designed for innovation
Located in Infopark Phase II, the CODi office spans nine floors, featuring workstations, collaboration areas, and discussion cabins. A unique design collaboration space, ‘Bodhi Tree,’ fosters innovation, while each floor is named after historic Kerala kingdoms, such as Travancore, Venad, and Kozhikode.

The Air India CODi team has been instrumental in developing cutting-edge digital solutions, including:

- AI-powered chatbot, AI.g, the first generative AI chatbot in the global airline industry, handling over 8 million queries with 97% autonomous resolution.

- AI-driven data analytics powering decision-making across key departments.

At the event, N Chandrasekaran emphasized a future where AI and digital interfaces enhance intelligence and empathy at Air India’s customer touchpoints. He urged the CODi team to develop fully autonomous digital assistants that anticipate and fulfill passenger needs.

Campbell Wilson stated, “CODi will be instrumental in equipping our frontline employees with tech-enabled systems to enhance customer service.”
