Chef Rohit Yadav brings a wealth of culinary expertise and a passion for perfection to his role. With a career defined by creativity, skill, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, Chef Rohit has become a prominent figure in the culinary world.

Chef Rohit succinctly defines his approach with three words: perfection, creativity and skill. These qualities have been the cornerstone of his success and have shaped his journey through the culinary landscape.

Reflecting on his experiences, Chef Rohit shares a key lesson learned in the industry: “There are no shortcuts. You have to spend time in the kitchen and learn about the ingredients, cooking techniques, time management, trying out different combinations to create new things and challenge the so-called normal. Most importantly, never accept mediocre.”

Chef Rohit’s management mantra emphasizes continual learning and sharing knowledge. He believes in the importance of continuously educating oneself and mentorship, stating, “Keep learning; it’s a never-ending process. Keep teaching; no knowledge is worth not sharing. When your team sees that in you, they will follow you into a war.”

Beyond the kitchen, Chef Rohit finds joy in hobbies such as playing video games and food photography. In his free time, he enjoys watching movies, working out, and listening to music. For stress relief, he turns to music and exercise, finding solace in the rhythm and movement.

Passionate about his craft, Chef Rohit’s dedication to food is unwavering. His favourite holiday destinations include Tirthan Valley in Himachal, India, and Krabi, Thailand.

Adding to his accolades, Chef Rohit opened ‘Aafreen’, a Modern Indian restaurant at Westin Pune, which received the prestigious Times Food & Nightlife Award for the Best Modern Indian Restaurant in Pune.

As executive sous chef at The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake & Lakeside Chalet, Chef Rohit’s primary responsibilities include ensuring smooth restaurant operations, menu development and execution, maintaining quality standards of food and staff training and development.
