IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Hanu Overseas to introduce its luxury and lifestyle brand, Vignette Collection, to India. Scheduled to open in early 2026, the upcoming hotel in Panchkula marks a key step in IHG’s strategy to accelerate growth in India’s high-potential luxury segment.
Vignette Collection: purposeful luxury with individuality
Vignette Collection is a portfolio of one-of-a-kind, exclusive hotels curated for travellers seeking rich, locally rooted stay experiences across top urban and resort destinations. The brand also enables owners of world-class independent hotels to retain their distinct identity, while benefiting from IHG’s global scale and luxury expertise.
Known for purposeful luxury, memorable rituals, and authentic connections to place, Vignette Collection is designed to deliver a distinctive hospitality experience with the strength of IHG behind it.
Why Panchkula is a strategic location
Located in the rapidly developing Chandigarh Metropolitan Region, Panchkula is emerging as a dynamic economic hub. The tri-city cluster is home to major IT parks, automotive companies, pharmaceutical and manufacturing centres, PSUs, and premier national institutions—driving consistent business, leisure, and event-led demand year-round.
What to expect from the new 145-room hotel
The upcoming Vignette Collection hotel in Panchkula will feature 145 rooms, including 11 suites, aligned with the brand’s ethos of meaningful hospitality and individuality.
Guests can look forward to four dining venues, including a signature restaurant, lobby lounge, and a private dining space. Leisure and wellness amenities will include a swimming pool, spa, fitness centre, curated retail, and ample parking.
With more than 2,200 square meters of meeting and event space, the hotel is positioned to cater strongly to the region’s growing demand for MICE, corporate gatherings, and social celebrations—particularly weddings.
Leadership commentary on bringing the brand to India
Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said the introduction of Vignette Collection to India is a significant milestone in expanding IHG’s luxury and lifestyle portfolio in the country. He noted that the brand is well aligned with the growing demand among discerning travellers for personal, locally rooted experiences, while being supported by IHG’s global strength and loyalty programme, IHG One Rewards.
Speaking on behalf of the ownership, Aman Gupta said the partnership aims to set a new benchmark for luxury hospitality in Panchkula, positioning it as a preferred destination for celebrations, retreats, and meaningful leisure travel. He added that the hotel will be designed to celebrate its unique identity while offering experiences rooted in a strong sense of place.
