Drop Dead Sexy opens in Goa

Designed by Siddharth Kerkar, the venue launches “Extraction Interaction”; a seasonal cocktail programme that reinvents itself every three months, starting with strawberries.

Drop Dead Sexy in Goa is an immersive art-led bar designed by Siddharth Kerkar, where the space blurs the line between viewer and viewed. Built to feel interactive rather than decorative, it creates an environment that reacts to guests as much as they experience it.

A space designed to make you the centre of attention

Inside, the experience is built around the idea of being watched and noticed. Oversized lamps shaped like slow-moving hands hang from the ceiling, while a wall of mechanical eyes behind the bar follows movement across the room—blinking and lingering as guests pass. The space leans into playful theatre, turning the act of being observed into part of the atmosphere.

Subodh Kerkar’s works and seasonal strawberry installations

Works by Subodh Kerkar anchor the space, with paintings and sculptures adding depth and grounding the playful sensuality in contemporary Indian art. Currently, the bar is further transformed by seasonal strawberry installations, bold, red, dripping, spinning forms that bring sweetness, colour, and a touch of cheeky chaos into the room.

The bar programme: Extraction Interaction

Coinciding with its opening, Drop Dead Sexy launches its first-ever seasonal bar programme, Extraction Interaction, a concept that completely reimagines the cocktail menu every three months.

A new obsession every season

Each season, the bar becomes obsessed with a single ingredient — something they find undeniably sexy — and rebuilds the entire experience around it. From the drinks to the visual language to the mood of the room, everything changes. No tweaks, no carryovers. A total reset, every time.

Season one celebrates the strawberry

Season One is devoted entirely to the strawberry. But this is not a decorative nod or a garnish-led flirtation. The team takes the fruit apart and rebuilds it using an array of techniques — creating delicate hydrosols, milk-washing for softness, lacto-fermenting for funk, crafting strawberry ice that evolves the drink as it melts, gelling, tea-infusing, and more.

Nine cocktails, one ingredient, endless personalities

The result is nine cocktails, each with a completely distinct personality, all born from the same ingredient. Some evoke the innocence of strawberries stolen from a neighbour’s garden. Others feel complex, grown-up, and unexpected. A few are pure texture experiments, designed to be felt as much as tasted.
