Meet Executive Chef Merajuddin Ansari, the man behind exceptional dining experiences at Le Meridien Goa Calangute.
An award winning quintessential culinary personality with over 19 years of experience, Chef Meraj comes with a diversified background in F&B management bringing an honest and practical approach to the culinary journey of the hotel.
Chef Meraj started his career as Demi Chef De Partie with Goa Marriott in 2003 and has a proven track record of absorbing unique concepts and adapting to highly demanding and ever- changing industry norms and situations. Prior to joining Four Points by Sheraton Navi Mumbai, he worked as an Executive Chef for brands like Marriott International, Kenilworth Beach Resort & Spa, The Hilton – Mumbai International Airport and Park in by Radisson, Muscat Oman and to holding a position of Executive Chef at Le Meridien Goa Calangute, he has come a long way.
Chef Meraj’s passion and love for cooking, took him on a journey through major cities to work and with several years of experience, he has pioneered numerous culinary concepts earning him several accolades. From being awarded the ‘Outstanding Culinary Skill’ by F&B Pro India Hospitality in 2018 to the ‘Young Star Chef’ at Golden Star Awards, Chef Meraj continues to inspire and create magic in his kitchen.Â
In his new role, Chef will handle the overall culinary operations of Le Meridien Goa, Calangute’s restaurants, bars and events. He will continue to position the hotel with unique culinary concepts- as a favourite destination to eat, meet and drink whilst ensuring quality control and revenue management.
