KOKO opens second Mumbai restaurant in Goregaon

Pebble Street Hospitality expands luxury Asian dining presence in the city’s western suburbs.

KOKO

KOKO, the Asian dining brand by Pebble Street Hospitality, has opened its second Mumbai outlet at International Business Park, Oberoi Garden City. This marks its fourth restaurant in India, introducing its share-style Cantonese-Japanese dining format to the city’s western suburbs.

Design and Spatial Experience

KOKO’s 5,500 sq ft outlet in Goregaon accommodates 116 guests and is designed to cater to office-goers, residents, and the city’s urban audience. The space transitions from day to evening through changes in lighting and ambience, organised across multiple zones.

Design elements include mouldings, lighting features, and large glazed sections that frame artworks and origami-inspired details. A curved wall anchors the cocktail lounge, which can function independently for private events. The interiors incorporate Asian-inspired materials and motifs, interpreted in a contemporary manner.

Culinary Direction

Led by Chef Eric Sifu and the KOKO team, the menu focuses on Cantonese-Japanese cuisine, with a mix of signature dishes, vegetarian options, and a dedicated Jain selection. Offerings include items such as KOKO Signature Roll, Hamachi Maki, Lobster & Caviar Dumpling, Crispy Pork Belly, and Peking Duck with Pancakes.

The vegetarian menu features dishes like KOKO Golden Maki, Wild Morel & Truffle Dumpling, Edamame Truffle Money Bag, and South East Asian Red Curry. The Jain menu, prepared without onion, garlic, or root vegetables, includes options such as Tender Coconut Carpaccio, Spicy Poached Dumpling, Silken Tofu with Chilli Black Bean, and Hong Kong Soy Noodles.

Desserts and Beverages

Desserts include options such as The ‘Forbidden’ Fruit, Coffee Pecan Nut Mousse, and Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée. The beverage menu features cocktails like Kandy Floss, Bombyx Mori, Agave Nest, and Tom Yum Cup, along with a selection of premium sake, including Mikadomatsu Junmai Ginjo and Hakushika Tokubetsu Yamadanishiki Honjozo.
