Kochi Marriott announce the appointment of Sharon Raj as the new Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing, overseeing three of Marriott’s flagship properties in Kerala – Kochi Marriott Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott Kochi Airport, and Port Muziris, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel.
A seasoned professional with over two decades of experience
With over two decades of hospitality experience, Sharon brings a blend of sales leadership and brand strategy, having worked with global names such as Accor, IHG, and The Executive Centre. Most recently, she held the role of Cluster Director of Sales & Operations for ibis Chennai City Centre and ibis Chennai Sipcot under Accor Hotels, where she successfully led multi-property commercial strategy while also contributing to operational efficiency during a strategic taskforce assignment at ibis Navi Mumbai.
Academic background and leadership outlook
An alumna of S.C.S. Kothari Academy in Chennai, Sharon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Science with a specialization in Marketing and Human Resources.

Sharon’s appointment comes at a time when Kochi’s hospitality landscape is poised for growth, especially in the MICE segment. “I look forward to spearheading the commercial strategy for these three exceptional properties,” said Sharon. “There’s incredible potential in Kochi, especially as a MICE destination, and I’m excited to explore new opportunities to showcase this vibrant city on the global stage.”
