In her new role, she will spearhead the vision, strategy, and day-to-day operations of the resort’s spa, wellness, fitness, and recreational portfolio, further strengthening its positioning as a leading destination for holistic luxury and well-being.
Utami will focus on enhancing guest engagement, driving financial performance, nurturing high-performing teams, and evolving the resort’s wellness ecosystem in line with global luxury and wellness trends.
A global career rooted in hands-on expertise
With over a decade of international experience in luxury hospitality, Utami brings a strong global perspective shaped by her professional journey across the Maldives, the Middle East, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Her rise from spa therapist to senior leadership positions reflects a deep operational understanding of wellness environments, supported by commercial acumen and people leadership.
Experience across marquee luxury hospitality brands
Utami has held leadership roles with globally recognised hospitality brands such as One&Only The Palm, Dubai; Hilton; Waldorf Astoria; Fairmont; and Sun Siyam Resorts. Her expertise includes managing large, multi-treatment-room spa facilities, curating and launching innovative wellness menus, leading diverse therapist and front-office teams, and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and hygiene.
Trained in Ayurveda, she also holds a Diploma in Spa Therapy along with multiple leadership and wellness certifications—supporting her ability to deliver wellness experiences that are both authentic and aligned with luxury hospitality benchmarks.
