On World Water Day, AB InBev India reinforced its commitment to water stewardship with initiatives to enhance water security and community resilience in Karnataka. A key highlight was the inauguration of a Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water ATM in CV Koppal Village, Mysore, providing clean water to over 1,000 residents while supporting groundwater sustainability through rainwater recharge facilities.
The initiative was inaugurated by Smt Geetha U.V, Hon’ble Deputy Superintendent of Excise, Putta Swamy, Panchayat Development Officer, Mysuru, and Manoj Kumar, Inspector – Bannur Police Station, T. Narasipura Taluk, Mysore district.
Driving long-term impact
Building on its sustainability strategy, AB InBev India successfully conserved 36 million liters of water between 2023 and 2024. Looking ahead, the company aims to achieve an ambitious 4 million HL recharge capacity by 2025, benefiting over 1,000 farmers by improving water access and delivering high-quality silt to boost agricultural productivity.

Large-scale water restoration
AB InBev India has also undertaken large-scale desilting projects in Segehalli, Kodegehalli, and Bendaravadi villages, successfully restoring 125 million liters of water capture capacity. Validated by the IIT-IIT Water Tech Platform, the initiative mobilized 267 farmers and completed 12.5 desilting modules, each designed to retain 10 million liters of water.
Commitment to sustainability
By 2025, AB InBev India aims to achieve a 100% improvement in water availability and quality, reinforcing its leadership in responsible water management and community-led impact.
