Pioneering hydroponic farming at OZEN LIFE MAADHOO
Ozen Life Maadhoo houses the Maldives‘ first indoor hydroponic farm, an initiative that began as an experiment and grew into a model of self-sufficiency. Covering 140 square meters, it cultivates 13 varieties of leafy greens and herbs, reducing reliance on imported produce and minimizing the resort’s carbon footprint. Using 90% less water than traditional farming, it strengthens food security while supplying fresh produce to nine resorts within the Atmosphere Core portfolio.

Ozen Reserve Bolifushi has earned the Green Globe Gold certification for five consecutive years of excellence in sustainability. The resort utilizes solar energy, leads marine conservation efforts, and has eliminated single-use plastics, setting a benchmark for eco-conscious luxury in the Maldives.
