Suba Hotels Limited has reopened its fully refurbished property, Hotel GenX, in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. The hotel had earlier deferred operations to undergo a major overhaul, aimed at enhancing guest comfort and modernising key facilities. The newly reopened property now features aesthetically redesigned and tastefully decorated rooms, along with an upgraded restaurant and improved banqueting infrastructure.

Speaking on the reopening, Mansur Mehta, Managing Director, Suba Hotels Limited, shared that the property had been performing well earlier, but the brand wanted to offer guests a completely renewed experience. He added that all rooms and facilities have now been completely refurbished, reflecting a fresh direction in design and functionality.
Mirzapur’s importance in religious tourism drives demand
Mubeen Mehta, CEO, Suba Hotels Ltd, highlighted Mirzapur’s growing relevance on India’s religious tourism map. He noted that pilgrims visiting Varanasi often also travel to the Vindhyavasini Temple in Mirzapur, making the destination increasingly important for hospitality growth. He also shared that Suba Hotels recently opened a Comfort Inn property in the same market, responding to strong tourist movement in the region.

The hotel’s in-house restaurant, Punjabi Junction, offers a mix of cuisines from across India, catering to varied traveller preferences.
