With a career spanning nearly two decades across some of India’s leading luxury hotels, Surat brings deep operational expertise, strong people leadership, and a steadfast commitment to the highest standards of guest comfort and cleanliness.
Extensive experience across luxury hospitality
Surat joins JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar from The Westin Goa, where he served as Executive Housekeeper and led housekeeping operations with a strong focus on efficiency, service excellence, and team training. Prior to this, he spent over nine years at The St. Regis Mumbai, progressing through key roles including Housekeeping Executive, Assistant Housekeeping Manager, and Manager – Housekeeping. His tenure there strengthened his expertise in managing large teams, delivering luxury service standards, and overseeing high-volume operations.
A career built on strong operational foundations
Surat began his professional journey at renowned hospitality brands such as Grand Hyatt Mumbai, InterContinental Hotels, and ITC Grand Maratha. These early roles provided him with a strong grounding in on-ground operations and inter-departmental coordination, shaping his methodical and detail-driven approach to housekeeping leadership.

A graduate of the Metropolitan Institute of Hotel Management, Surat brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in the luxury hospitality sector. Known for his meticulous attention to detail, commitment to quality, and people-first leadership style, he is regarded as a strong addition to the hotel’s senior leadership team.
