IHG Hotels expands presence in Nepal with Crowne Plaza Lumbini

The premium brand’s second property in the country set to open in 2026, offering world-class hospitality in the spiritual heart of Lumbini.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Lumbini Heritage Limited to develop Crowne Plaza Lumbini, scheduled to open in 2026. This marks the second Crowne Plaza in Nepal, reinforcing the brand’s growing influence across South Asia’s premium hospitality segment.

Design, Facilities, and Guest Experience

The upcoming hotel will feature 137 premium rooms and 10 suites, alongside versatile meeting and event spaces, including a large banquet hall for business and social gatherings. True to the Crowne Plaza philosophy, it will combine modern design with purposeful amenities, tailored to today’s blended business-leisure travellers.
