Westin Mumbai to train Dharavi youths

The Westin Mumbai Garden City has launched a program to train the youth of Dharavi for employment in the hospitality industry.

Starwood Hotels and Resorts of which The Westin Mumbai Garden City is a part, is committed to its Global Citizenship program.

Touch lives… change lives is the mantra that drives the community affairs program. With this initiative The Westin Mumbai Garden City seeks to make a difference in the lives of the youth of Dharavi.

The program was launched amidst the Westin team along with the trustees of SSRSVM Mr Zubin Pastakia, Mr Manav Lakhani and Mr Rahul Sutar along with the Principal Ms Shubhangi Karvir.

The program is inspired by the vision of the Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Vidya Mandir (SSRVM) School in Dharavi. The School is located in the heart of Dharavi, Asia’s largest slum. It imparts education to 228 children.
