UK’s Midlands Airport hotel construction begins

(NULL)

Construction work on the new £22million four-star hotel near East Midlands Airport in the UK has begun.

The hotel is expected to create 150 jobs and is scheduled to open by summer 2011.

The design will include references to the nearby National Forest with timber features as well as an aviation-inspired canopy.

Developers hope it will be one of the region’s greenest hotels, using several sustainable construction techniques to deliver an 87% reduction in carbon particles.

The Azure Property Group will operate the hotel.
