The Chatpata Affair has announced an ambitious GCC expansion roadmap, beginning with six new outlets across Dubai by March 2026. The move comes at a time when global interest in modern Indian vegetarian cuisine is surging, particularly across Middle Eastern markets with strong youth demographics and rising demand for affordable, flavour-forward food concepts.
Rapid domestic growth continues
The brand recently crossed 100 outlets in India, entering one of its fastest growth phases. It opened four outlets last week and will add four more this week, with Chennai and Bengaluru expected to see 20 new stores over the next couple of months.
The Chatpata Affair has demonstrated consistent financial growth, registering a 20% YoY increase. The brand’s current annualised revenue stands at ₹40 crore from India and international operations combined.
Multiple formats for the Middle East market
Encouraged by the strong performance of its first Dubai outlet, the brand is rolling out multiple store formats, including kiosks for malls, residential communities, transit hubs, corporate clusters, and integrated retail spaces, to meet the region’s demand for fast, convenient, vegetarian street-food experiences.
Funding and franchise partnerships
To fuel its UAE expansion, the company is currently raising ₹10 crore (USD 1.2 million) while inviting master franchise partners, area developers, mall operators, petrol station chains, and investment groups across the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
A concept with global appeal
“Our first outlet in Dubai proved that modern Indian vegetarian cuisine has a global audience,” said Shiju Pappen, Founder of The Chatpata Affair. “We are now scaling rapidly across the GCC with asset-light formats, a strong supply chain, and a concept that adapts beautifully to local tastes. This is the right moment to take Indian vegetarian street-food culture global.”
