First Encounter with the Monument of Unity – A Journey Through History
The afternoon took us to the iconic Statue of Unity, a landmark that draws millions from across India and the world. Soaring at 182 metres, this engineering marvel created by sculptor Ram V Sutar stands as a spectacular tribute to the Iron Man of India.
The experience continued inside an expansive campus featuring a world-class museum, an immersive audio-visual show, and detailed exhibits on Patel’s role in the integration of India.
Two high-speed elevators transport visitors to the 153-metre viewing gallery in 30 seconds — offering breathtaking views of the Narmada River, Sardar Sarovar Dam, and the endless green expanse.
The day ended with the mesmerising Statue of Unity laser show projected onto the statue itself, a crowd favourite that combined light, sound, and storytelling spectacularly.

Day two began with a peaceful sunrise bird-watching session, a favourite among nature lovers and photographers. We then visited the Sardar Sarovar Dam, among India’s largest and most impactful water infrastructure projects. At 163 metres, it remains one of the tallest and most voluminous gravity dams in the world.
Into the Wild – Statue of Unity Jungle Safari
One of the top attractions at Ekta Nagar is the Jungle Safari, spread across 375 acres with seven altitude zones. Featuring 186+ global species from Asia, Africa, Australia, and America, it provides a chance to see: Asiatic lions, Royal Bengal tigers, leopards and exotic birds.
The safari is beautifully landscaped and a treat for family-friendly travel, wildlife enthusiasts and educational tourism.

The evening took us to the enchanting Valley of Flowers (Bharat Van), now home to over 22 lakh blooming plants across 300+ species. Overlooking the Narmada river, it’s one of Ekta Nagar’s most picturesque locations and a favourite for travellers seeking scenic trails and Instagram-worthy moments.
A serene boat ride on Panchmuli Lake completed our day. Surrounded by hills and forests, this peaceful eco-tourism experience is one of Ekta Nagar’s best-kept secrets.
Wholesome Dining – Celebrating Gujarat’s Culinary Heritage
Dining at Tent City 1 is a major highlight. Their pure-vegetarian buffet showcases the soul of Gujarati cuisine — from sumptuous dhoklas and theplas to rich kadhis and comforting khichdis — alongside Indian classics and global favourites.
After a long day of touring, this nourishing, flavour-packed spread felt perfect.
