Rahool Macarius, Market Managing Director – Eurasia, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, is a seasoned hospitality leader with a strong vision for expanding Wyndham’s presence across the region. Focused on strategic growth, guest experience, and owner partnerships, his leadership is defined by innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence. Under his stewardship, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is strengthening its position as a key player in the dynamic Eurasia hospitality market.

With more than 25 years of experience, Rahool has held leadership roles across several global hotel groups. His expertise spans financial strategy, operations management, and stakeholder engagement, making him well-equipped to lead Wyndham’s operations across India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and the Maldives. His appointment marks a return to Wyndham, where he earlier served as Director of Commercial for the region.

A firm believer in an owner-first approach, Rahool is deeply committed to fostering trust-based relationships with hotel owners, partners, and teams to deliver long-term value and success.

A Legacy of People-First Leadership

Reflecting on the legacy he hopes to leave behind, Rahool says, “If there is one legacy I would like to leave, it is the belief that hospitality is about people first. Our industry is built on human connections, and while business results are important, the true measure of success lies in the lives we touch. A guest who feels at home, an associate who finds growth and purpose, or a community that benefits from our presence — these are the lasting impressions that matter most.”

Future of Indian Hospitality

“Deeply rooted in tradition, reimagined for tomorrow,” he believes is the future of Indian hospitality. It lies in blending timeless warmth and generosity with innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation — creating a balance between authenticity and agility, he adds.

Leadership Mantra

“The mantra that has guided me consistently is humility with consistency.” He emphasizes that grounded leadership, listening, and respect build trust and resilience, helping leaders create impact that endures well into the future.
