The Leela Palace Jaipur has introduced The Amber Terrace, a rooftop space that brings together elements of heritage, regional flavours, and contemporary design.
At The Leela Palace Jaipur: A ‘Root to Fruit’ Approach
The Amber Terrace follows a ‘Root to Fruit’ approach, with a cocktail and culinary programme inspired by Rajasthan’s indigenous produce and botanical traditions. Ingredients such as leaves, roots, fruits, and seeds are adapted using contemporary techniques.
Herbs are sourced from the palace’s in-house garden, and an on-site mixology lab supports the development of seasonal cocktails. Drinks such as the Peepli Picante and Ker Sangri Gimlet reinterpret local ingredients in a modern format.
Modern Asian Plates and Architectural Restraint
The culinary offering includes modern Asian small plates and globally inspired dishes, designed for shared dining. The terrace features contemporary design elements, including tactile materials, defined seating areas, and a central bar overlooking the Aravalli Hills. Lighting and music shift through the evening, transitioning the space from a relaxed sunset setting to an active social venue.
A Launch Aligned with Royal Legacy
The launch was held on the eve of the final match of The Leela Maharaja Sawai Man Singh Polo Cup 2026 and was attended by His Highness Sawai Padmanabh Singh, Icon of India by The Leela. In conversation with CEO Anuraag Bhatnagar, he spoke about his association with the brand and its connection to Jaipur’s royal heritage.
The event was also attended by members of the fashion and cultural community, including Manasi Scott, Nikhil Mehra, Prahlad Kakkar, Malini Agarwal, and Monica Vaswani.
Rooted Yet Relevant Luxury
Speaking on the launch, Anoop Pandey, Vice President and General Manager, The Leela Palace Jaipur, said, “The Amber Terrace represents our belief that luxury must feel both rooted and relevant. By drawing from Rajasthan’s indigenous ingredients and reinterpreting them through a contemporary lens, we have created a space that mirrors Jaipur itself, timeless in spirit, yet confidently modern. It is envisioned as a natural gathering place for the city’s discerning community and our global guests.”
