Sheraton Grand Pune Bund Garden hosts Mejvani-E-Kolhapur, a Kolhapuri food festival celebrating the vibrant cuisine of the beautiful temple town. The city on the banks of the Panchaganga River is known for its distinctive spices. Sheraton Grand’s Sous Chef, Prashant Bhausaheb Raut, has meticulously curated a menu to bring the authentic tastes and aromas of Kolhapur, ensuring a dining experience that is both unique and memorable. Guests can savour the fiery Tambda Rassa, a traditional spicy red mutton curry; the creamy elegance of Pandhara Rassa, a mild white mutton curry; complimented by Bhakri and the spicy Thecha; and the iconic Misal Pav, featuring a spicy sprouted bean curry topped with crunchy farsan. The range of dishes includes mains, starters, and meetha like Gul Poli and Puran Poli, delectable flatbreads stuffed with jaggery and lentils. All this can be washed down with Piyush, a rich drink made from shrikhand mixed with buttermilk, or with Amrut, a refreshing herbal drink made from local medicinal herbs and spices. Guests can savour the Kolhapuri food from at the hotel from June 28 to July 7, 2024, for lunch and dinner.
