On 6th March 2024, The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts hosted the fifth edition of ‘Shefs at the Leela’ in association with Dean With Us at The Leela Palace Jaipur, featuring three globally renowned women chefs, Rasika Mythily Venkatesa, Tashyaa Mehrotra, and Tejasvi Chandela.
On 9th March 2024, these three talented chefs will come together to curate an exceptional dining experience at Mohan Mahal, The Leela Palace Jaipur’s signature restaurant, to celebrate the diversity of Indian gastronomy while creating a memorable dining experience for food enthusiasts in Rajasthan. The theme of this collaboration is to showcase the vibrant flavours, diverse ingredients, and intricate techniques of South Indian cuisine in a six-course menu featuring Stuffed Kuzhi Paniyaram, Southern Beet Croquettes, Backwaters via Siene, Textures of raw banana, Aubergine Pollichattu to name a few.

Chef Rasika Mythily Venkatesa, under world-renowned Chef Mourad Lahlou’s guidance, was recognised with the Chef de Cuisine of Mourad in 2022, one of the youngest CDCs in the industry. She is also the recipient of the Star Chefs – Rising Star Award in San Francisco.

Chef Tashyaa Mehrotra leads the kitchen brigade at the only 100% vegan restaurant in Delhi with sustainable cooking as the base of her ethos. Her endeavours to redefine the boundaries of vegan cuisine showcase its depth and richness.

Chef Tejasvi Chandela, a Le Cordon Bleu alumna, became the inaugural Indian pastry chef to be bestowed with the coveted ‘Pastry Talent of The Year Award’ in Paris by La Liste.
‘Shefs at the Leela’, an innovative platform to celebrate women chefs was launched in 2022 in partnership with Dean With Us, as an initiative to promote equality in the kitchens. It provides an opportunity for talented women chefs who have carved a niche for themselves to share their journey and showcase their talent through curated dinners, panel discussions, and special masterclasses to inspire young and budding women chefs.
The brand has hosted four successful editions of Shefs at the Leela at The Leela Palace Bengaluru, The Leela Ambience Gurugram, The Leela Palace Chennai and The Leela Bhartiya City. After the astounding success of the former events, the latest edition of Shefs at the Leela at The Leela Palace Jaipur promises to be yet another extraordinary experience, an exclusive curation to celebrate Women’s Day with a two-day long extravaganza at The Leela Palace Jaipur.

Spread across two days, ‘Shefs at the Leela’ will open with an engaging session and meaningful conversations with a hi-tea with the Shefs on 8th March and will lead into a spectacular sit-down dinner on 9th March curated by an all-women team.
Led by the trailblazing women chefs – Rasika Mythily Venkatesa, Tashyaa Mehrotra and Tejasvi Chandela, an all-women culinary production team will orchestrate this delightful evening which promises to be a mélange of flavours, cuisines and cooking styles and tells a powerful story of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and learnings.
