Accor expands with 230 plus hotels

Nearly 60,000 keys in development highlight Accor’s strong regional expansion across premium, midscale, and lifestyle brands, across Asia.

Accor continues its strategic growth in Asia with a robust lineup of regional hotel signings and openings year-to-date. With a diverse pipeline of more than 230 hotels representing close to 60,000 keys in development across Asia, this growth activity reinforces Accor’s ability to capture expansion opportunities in both established and emerging markets.

Growth Driven by Premium, Midscale, and Economy Brands

Growth across Accor’s premium, midscale, and economy (PM&E) brands continues to drive its expansion in Asia. Conversion-friendly brands like Mercure and Handwritten Collection are fueling momentum, while ibis and ibis Styles strengthen the economy segment with accessible comfort. Premium brands such as Pullman, Mövenpick, Grand Mercure, and Swissôtel are expanding into high-potential destinations across the region.

New Projects Signed

In 2025, this strength translated into a wave of PM&E signings. Indonesia led with seven projects, highlighted by Swissôtel Bali Nusa Dua, while Thailand and Laos added five, including Mercure’s debut in Phuket, Handwritten Collection in Bangkok, and ibis Vientiane. The Philippines secured four signings, including Mercure Mactan Cebu and ibis Styles Clark, reflecting rising demand in tier-2 markets.

India expanded with three new signings—Pullman Dehradun Jollygrant, Novotel Indore, and ibis Indore—while Vietnam achieved a milestone with its largest Mövenpick, a 1,000-key resort in Danang. Japan also expands into Hiroshima with Mercure Tokyu Stay Hiroshima.

Lifestyle and Luxury Developments

Under Ennismore, Accor’s lifestyle division, several dynamic projects were announced, including Rixos Hon Thom Island, Asia’s first Rixos all-inclusive resort. Mondrian Maldives, set to open in 2026, will feature 105 private villas, while Mama Shelter Bangkok Platinum marks the brand’s lively debut in Thailand.

In the luxury division, Accor signed the Sofitel Sapa Hotel & Residences, a landmark project in Northern Vietnam combining 176 rooms and 436 residences, slated to open in 2030.

Standout Openings and Upcoming Debuts

Accor’s footprint in Asia was strengthened with key openings in 2025. New launches include Pullman Hai Phong Grand Hotel, Pullman Ambassador Seoul Eastpole, and Swissôtel Living Jakarta Mega Kuningan, which marks the debut of Swissôtel Living in the region. Other highlights include TRIBE Phuket Patong and Novotel New Delhi City Centre.

Upcoming openings include Grand Mercure Kuala Lumpur Bukit Bintang, Novotel Bali Ubud Resort, and Hotel Waterloo Singapore – Handwritten Collection.

Expanding Luxury and Lifestyle Portfolio

Accor continues to expand its luxury and lifestyle offerings, with the opening of Raffles Sentosa Singapore and the upcoming Raffles Tokyo, scheduled for 2028. Fairmont Mumbai and Fairmont Tokyo also joined the portfolio, while Fairmont Hanoi and Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit are on track for 2026.

Sofitel Diamond Crown Hai Phong, opening in 2026, will become the first internationally recognized hotel within the Diamond Crown complex, introducing French sophistication and modern design.

Another lifestyle milestone includes the debut of Mama Shelter Singapore, the brand’s first Asian property, launched in September 2025.
