WhatsApp collaborated with the National Restaurants Association of India (NRAI) to host a training and upskilling workshop for the small and medium restaurant community. Under this collaboration, an educational workshop was held at the Indian Restaurant Conclave 2022 in Hyderabad, to educate the restaurant community on adopting technology and digital tools to reinvent their operations and cater to the evolving needs of their customers.

The workshop, ‘Unlocking the potential of WhatsApp for your business’ aimed at training restaurant owners about building a digital presence on the WhatsApp Business App to help them better manage incoming leads and queries, build their products/services showcase and market to key audiences using online tools. The participating members received first-hand experience in building their business-profiles on WhatsApp Business App, showcasing their menu, managing customer engagement and discovering new customers.
“NRAI has been at the forefront of empowering the restaurant community since its inception. Adopting technology and digital marketing tools have equipped restaurants to become agile and reinvent during the challenging times. The workshop paved paths for restaurateurs looking for digital-first solutions and the potential to expand their business. We look forward to more such initiatives in the future,” said Saaz Mehmood, Founder of NRAI, Hyderabad Chapter and Member, MC, NRAI.
