Atelier V unveils its latest drinks menu: Around the World in 12 Cocktails — a drinking experience that reimagines travel, taste, and storytelling in a glass. Inspired by the universal ritual of toasting, the menu features 12 signature cocktails, each one named after the local word for “cheers” in a different country — from Arriba! (Mexico) to Santé! (France) to Cin-Cin! (Italy).
A Menu That Doubles as a Passport
Packaged in a beautifully designed booklet reminiscent of an international passport, the menu invites guests to sip their way across cultures, with each page offering a taste of a different destination.
Born from Vedant’s own travels and deep-rooted love for global flavours, the cocktails act as a personal postcard — capturing places, memories, and techniques picked up along the way. The drinks blend traditional techniques with modern twists — betel leaf meets gin in Hipa Hipa! from Hawaii, while hojicha tea finds a home alongside smoky Scotch and raw mango fizz in Kanpai!
Flavour Meets Functionality
The menu also has a sensory scale — Spicy / Sour / Salty / Creamy — guiding diners through flavour terrains as diverse as the countries they represent. Accompanying each drink is a custom-designed coaster, featuring a visual fragment of Atelier V’s bar — a nod to travel souvenirs. On the reverse, guests will find a detailed description and flavour profile of the cocktail. Collect all 12 coasters, and the pieces form a complete image of the Atelier V bar.
A Personal Ode to Wanderlust
Vedant Newatia, Founder and Head Chef, Atelier V, says, “Each cocktail on this menu is a distilled memory — of dinners by the sea, the chaos of a street corner, or the quiet of a candlelit bar in a city you’ve never visited but somehow remember. There are no borders in flavour. We’ve designed this menu as a passport to exploration — an invitation to wander, to savour, to get lost.”
Highlights from the Menu
- Proscht! — Switzerland: A glacial rush of vodka, butterfly pea, and passionfruit — Vedant’s signature serve straight from Bern, bold and electric.
- Arriba! — Mexico: Tequila, jalapeño and yes, actual salsa; punchy and precise.
- Eviva! — Greece: Gin, olive oil, and a vanilla cheesecake foam that floats like a cloud over the Aegean.
- Geonbae! — Korea: A surprising fusion of black garlic, yuzu, and gin.
- Piyo! — India: Gondhoraj, mango foam, caramelised banana — it doesn’t ask, it orders.
