On April 29, a significant fire occurred at Link Square Mall, Bandra, where China Gate Group’s restaurants—TAP Resto Bar and Global Fusion—were located. Reportedly, no guests or staff were present at the time of the incident, and no injuries were sustained.
The situation was swiftly brought under control thanks to the prompt and courageous efforts of the Mumbai Fire Brigade, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and local authorities. The owners, reportedly, are actively cooperating with the investigation to determine the cause of the fire and assess any structural impact on the affected outlets.
Temporary closures and continued operations
While the Bandra locations of TAP and Global Fusion will remain temporarily closed, other outlets across Mumbai remain fully operational. Guests can continue to enjoy the Global Fusion experience at our locations in Worli, Versova, Saki Naka, and Chembur, and visit TAP Resto Bar at Worli, Juhu, Saki Naka, and Andheri. All outlets continue to uphold the high standards of safety, service, and hospitality that define the China Gate Group experience.
A message of resilience and reassurance
“We are deeply saddened by the fire at our Global Fusion and TAP Resto Bar locations in Bandra. Our thoughts are with our patrons, staff, and the community affected. While this is a difficult moment, it only reinforces our determination to rebuild and maintain the high standards of quality and service our guests expect at all our locations, from Worli to Chembur and beyond. We remain committed to ensuring that this setback does not affect the experiences our loyal customers have come to love,” said Ankit Tamang, Restauranteur and Operations Director, China Gate Restaurants Private Limited (CRPL).
