The Fern Hotels & Resorts has signed a new property on the picturesque Willingdon Island in Kochi.
The land was leased to EIH Associated Hotels Limited for 30 years by the Cochin Port Trust, and the hotel was operating under the brand name Trident. The property has now been sub-leased to Concept Hospitality Pvt Ltd for the residual period of the lease and will be operating under the brand name, The Fern – An Ecotel Hotel, Kochi.
Speaking on the occasion, Suhail Kannampilly, Managing Director of The Fern Hotels & Resorts, commented, “We are pleased to set foot in Kerala with the addition of this hotel to our portfolio. With this launch, we look forward to expanding our footprint in God’s own country, Kerala.”
Nestled on Willingdon Island, the hotel boasts 85 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant accommodating up to 70 guests, and an outdoor seafood restaurant. The menu will showcase a rich tapestry of local and international cuisine, emphasising fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
The hotel also includes a versatile conference hall, perfect for corporate gatherings, meetings, and social events, ensuring that business travellers have all the amenities they need. Recreational facilities include a refreshing swimming pool, a well-equipped gym, and a tranquil spa offering a range of rejuvenating treatments designed to enhance wellness and relaxation.
