The Fern Hotels & Resorts appointed Amit Kumar Sharma as the Cluster General Manager for Maharashtra.
Amit joined The Fern family in 2016 as the pre-opening General Manager at Amanora The Fern, Pune, where he oversaw all facets of hotel operations, ranging from directing and supervising day-to-day operations and monitoring service quality to ensuring an exceptional guest experience and efficient hotel functioning.
In his new role as Cluster General Manager for Maharashtra, Amit will be overseeing the overall management and strategic direction of 15 properties across the region: Karad, Karjat, Kolhapur, Lonavala, Mahabaleshwar, Panchgani, Pune, Satara, Ichalkaranji, and Solapur. His responsibilities would encompass providing leadership and guidance to individual General Managers (GMs) and their teams to ensure high operational standards, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. Additionally, he would be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans aligned with company goals to promote sustainable growth and profitability across hotels while ensuring compliance with brand standards, quality controls, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
In his two decades in the hospitality industry, Amit has been associated with leading brands like Grand Hyatt, Intercontinental, Le Meridien, and more in various roles where he demonstrated his leadership capabilities and ability to lead teams effectively.
