JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire brings a unique dining series, The Royal Homecoming. This showcase features Indian chefs renowned globally for their diverse culinary expertise in Indian cuisine. The first edition of this series will host the prominent Chef Prabir Banerjee of Chaiwala, a modern Indian cuisine restaurant based in Hong Kong. He will take over the kitchen from 17th to 19th May 2024 at the award-winning restaurant, Aaleeshan of the JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa. Aaleeshan is a Royal Indian speciality restaurant known for its North West Frontier Cuisine and has won several accolades, including the ‘Best Indian Cuisine’.
Born and raised in India, Chef Prabir is known for curating exceptional dining experiences at the celebrated restaurant, Chaiwala, a modern Indian restaurant located in the heart of Hong Kong. He has won many accolades, including the ‘Chef of the Year’ at the Hong Kong Dining Awards 2021: Readers’ Choice. Chef Prabir specialises in Indian cuisine and has spent over 18 years in the culinary world. With each plate, Chef Prabir invites patrons on a sensory journey, showcasing the richness and depth of Indian cuisine in a modern, sophisticated setting. His creative ingenuity and culinary craft are a testament to the rich tapestry of Indian flavours.
The signature restaurant of JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa, Aaleeshan, will be transformed into a culinary haven showcasing Chef Prabir’s signature dishes. His creations will highlight the nuanced marriage of exquisite spices, a hallmark of Indian cuisine. Diners can embark on this exploration with a selection of tempting appetisers, including Tuna Chaat and Malabar Scallops. The main course boasts Dakshini Prawns, Lamb Chop Masala, and a soul-satisfying Fish Curry, all paired perfectly with aromatic Dum Saffron Rice and a variety of Indian breads. The guests can conclude the feast with a delectable Mango Sago Coconut Payasam.
