Having accumulated around 18 years of expertise in upscale hospitality operations across various cities in India and internationally, Somrup Chanda will oversee several key areas including enhancing the brand, developing products, managing budgets, talent development, succession planning, and organising work and initiatives on a quarterly basis.
He will also help in curating events to increase footfall, look into improving brand Image and revenue, enhancing manning productivity and brand building with strategic collaborations.
He started his journey with Grand Hyatt Mumbai and subsequently worked with marquee brands in the hospitality industry such as Park Hyatt Hyderabad, Hyatt Regency Pune-Delhi-Kolkata, Sheraton Grand at Brigade Gateway, and Crowne Plaza & Staybridge Suites Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, to name a few.
He has been a part of pre-openings like Park Hyatt Hyderabad and Indore Marriott and also been part of re-launching restaurants. He loves to work closely with his team creating experiences for guests and partners.
In his recreational time, Somrup enjoys sports, cooking, travelling and listening to music and is a pet lover.
