GRT Hotels wins Best Hotels – South India at PATWA International Travel Awards 2026

The hospitality group was honoured at ITB Berlin, while CEO Vikram Cotah received the Excellence in Hospitality Innovation – India award.

GRT Hotels & Resorts has once again earned international recognition, winning the prestigious “Best Hotels – South India” award at the PATWA International Travel Awards 2026 held during ITB Berlin. The honour reinforces the brand’s standing as a leading hospitality group in the region, known for combining tradition, luxury, and local storytelling within its guest experiences.

Leadership recognised for innovation

In addition to the group’s recognition, Vikram Cotah, CEO of GRT Hotels & Resorts, received the individual award for “Excellence in Hospitality Innovation – India.” The recognition highlights his role in reshaping the guest experience through narrative-led initiatives such as the GReaT Kathas and his efforts to integrate technology with experiential hospitality.

Deputy Managing Director T. Nataraajan noted that receiving international recognition at ITB Berlin for the second consecutive year reflects the collective efforts of the team in maintaining the brand’s service standards. The award also reinforces the group’s commitment to its guiding philosophy, “The Promise of More,” while continuing to honour cultural heritage.
