Ventive Hospitality Limited announced that three Maldives resorts — Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Raaya by Atmosphere, and Anantara Dhigu and Veli — have been inducted as Green Fins Digital Members, aligning the portfolio with the world’s first global marine tourism sustainability platform.
Developed by The Reef-World Foundation in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Green Fins Hub aims to scale responsible marine tourism practices from around 700 operators in 14 countries to a potential 30,000 operators worldwide.
Commitment to marine conservation
The membership formalises science-based conservation standards across sensitive marine locations. Coral reefs support at least 25% of marine life and contribute significantly to some island economies, yet remain highly vulnerable to climate change.
Under the framework, the resorts adopt structured sustainability plans, annual environmental assessments, ongoing monitoring and operational measures aimed at reducing impact from diving, snorkelling and other marine activities.

CEO Ranjit Batra said sustainability must be embedded into operations and the programme reinforces responsible growth and environmental accountability.
Dr Oriana Migliaccio, Sustainability Manager and Marine Biologist at Anantara Dhigu and Veli, noted guest participation strengthens conservation efforts, while Jessica Miller, Marine Biologist at Conrad Maldives, emphasised reef protection as essential to the future of island tourism.
