The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts has opened applications for the Leela Leadership Development Programme (LLDP) – Class of 2027, reaffirming its commitment to developing the next generation of leaders in Indian luxury hospitality.

Building excellence through people-first leadership

LLDP reflects The Leela’s belief that exceptional hospitality begins with exceptional people. The structured management training programme focuses on building leadership, behavioural, and functional skills to identify and fast-track high-potential talent.

As The Leela expands from 13 to 22 hotels in the coming years, LLDP will play a crucial role in shaping future general managers and senior leaders who embody the brand’s values of grace, empathy, and excellence.

A philosophy rooted in legacy and growth

“At The Leela, we see leadership not as a position, but as a responsibility,” said Anuraag Bhatnagar, Chief Executive Officer, The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts. “LLDP is our investment in the future and reflects our belief that exceptional hospitality begins with exceptional people.”

Rigorous selection and holistic learning

The programme is open to both internal and external candidates with a degree in hotel management and at least one year of operational experience. The selection process includes technical and logical assessments, psychometric tests, and panel interviews.

Once selected, participants undergo a 15-month journey that blends classroom learning, on-the-job training at two Leela hotels, and immersive bootcamps. The programme culminates with a capstone project and certification from ISH in alliance with Les Roches.

A commitment to nurturing talent from within

“LLDP is a critical pillar of our people strategy,” said Isha Goyal, Senior Vice President and Head – Human Resources, The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts. “The programme provides aspiring leaders with a structured pathway anchored in mentorship, growth, and the unique culture of The Leela.”

Continuing a legacy of excellence

Since its inception in May 2022, LLDP has trained three batches of future-ready talent. With the launch of the Class of 2027, The Leela aims to attract ambitious professionals looking to build long-term, meaningful careers in luxury hospitality.
