It’s been an exciting month at Hotelier India, where we have stayed up nights and worked weekends on our new design and to bring out our cover story featuring a list of the top 50 people you need to know in this dynamic, perpetually buzzing industry.
After going through a considerable amount of research, chatting with consultants and taking into consideration our editorial panel’s opinions, we offer you a ‘Who’s who in Indian hospitality’!
We’re also celebrating our second anniversary – it’s been two fantastic years already, bringing you the best and the latest of what’s going on in the world of hospitality. We mark the event with some selected quotes from leaders in the field.
As official media partners of the recently held 45th FHRAI convention in Agra, we met over 650 delegates who attended the event, many of them leading hoteliers in India.
With the gorgeous Taj Mahal as the backdrop, we were witness to a host of speakers who brought forth, burning issues related to the industry, such as the setting up of budget accommodation through the public-private partnership (PPP) mode, the core issue of non-availability of land and high establishment cost, the enhancement of floor-area ratio for hotels and much more.
Last month also saw our Hotelier India GMs Roundtable event take place, where top general managers discussed pertinent topics such as inflation hitting the roof, the effects of recession on business, licensing issues, government policies and
hiring agendas.
The upcoming Commonwealth Games are on everyone’s mind and people are eager to see whether the various controversies surrounding it, will soon fade into oblivion or tragically become glaringly true.
Is Delhi prepared to play hostess with the mostest or will the capital be made a spectacle of? We have some tips on how to get your pound of flesh from the CWG.
As we pop open a magnum of champagne, we invite you to join us in the celebrations and thank you for being such a wonderful support these last two years.
