The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi has been chosen from a list of top hotel chains to be the Hotelier India Awards 2010 Hospitality partner.
The Hotelier India Awards 2010, now only in it’s second year, has already become one of the most coveted hospitality awards in the country, having attracted more than 350 top hoteliers from GMs and CEOs to chefs and managers of hotels.
The Awards, nominations for which are now open, will be held on December 16 at The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi, on the last night of the HOSI conference.
Commenting on why The Westin Gurgaon was chosen as a partner for the awards, ITP Publishing India deputy managing director Sai Kumar said, “After doing a thorough reconnaissance of several hotels in Mumbai and Delhi, the reason we chose The Westin Gurgaon as Hospitailty Partner for the Hotelier India Awards 2010, was because it reflected our theme for this year’s awards, which is ‘excellence.’ It is also a grand property, which will reflect the grandeur of the Hotelier India Awards 2010.”
The hotel is scheduled to open next month. The property will be the fifth Westin property in India, a key geographic region of Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ expansion efforts.
The hotel giant recently introduced the Westin brand in India and now operates four hotels: The Westin Mumbai Garden City, The Westin Pune Koregaon Park, The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace, and The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa.
The hotel features 313 guest rooms and suites, 1360 square meters of indoor meeting space, including a ballroom with the highest ceiling in the region, 820 square meters of garden space as well as six meeting rooms with natural light.
