Fairmont Hotels & Resorts which has over 60 properties internationally has announced that it has signed two new hotels in India – Fairmont Jaipur and Fairmont Hyderabad. Fairmont president Chris Cahill visited the India in early April, during HICSA, to meet with development partners and tour the property sites.
“India is a dynamic, international market and an area of the world where we see a lot of potential. We are excited about upcoming Fairmont hotel projects in Hyderabad and Jaipur, and believe India is well poised for healthy growth in both the leisure and business travel markets,” said Cahill adding, “Fairmont is focused on growth in leading international destinations and emerging markets around the world. In India, we’ll look to develop world-class city center hotels in major urban areas such as Bangalore and Mumbai while destinations like Goa serve as attractive locations to grow our resort portfolio.”
According to a statement by Fairmont, the brand is being positioned cater to domestic travelers for the properties in India. It also seeks to attract them to properties outside India, such as in London, NY, the Canadian Rockies, Dubai, Makkah and Shanghai when they travel abroad.
