Chef Murali Velan is Executive Sous Chef at Courtyard by Marriott Pune Chakan

Courtyard by Marriott Pune Chakan has appointed Chef Murali Velan as the Executive Sous Chef. He completed his bachelor’s degree in hotel and catering management from Vel’s Institute of Hotel Management, Chennai. His earlier assignments over the past 12 years include Courtyard by Marriott Chennai, Hablis Chennai and Club Mahindra Holidays. During these stints, he has gained expertise in in-room dining, banquet event operations, overall culinary operations, menu planning, buffet profitability and menu engineering, strategic planning and market survey for upcoming menu implementation, maintenance and conducting training on H.A.C.C.P.
