The hot sellers in hospitality events

Bhushan Anant Jalgaonkar, VP, Nesco Foods, discusses the top five trends that event planners can take note of to enhance the attendee experience

Healthy Offerings

Today, attendees have diverse dietary preferences and restrictions, such as gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, or vegan, and event planners must cater to these requirements. Providing healthy food options demonstrates a concern for attendees’ well-being and values loyalty above the extra effort required for personalization.

Event planners must be able to navigate these dietary requirements to ensure all attendees feel welcomed and valued.

Food Stations and Food Trucks

Food stations and food trucks are an increasingly popular trend in events, offering attendees the opportunity to sample various food options. Unlike the traditional plated dinner service, food stations encourage attendees to move around and engage in conversation.

They also offer a cost-effective way to provide food options, with each station offering a different range of delights to guests.

Live Counters

Live counters have been an attractive trend in events and weddings in recent years. Live barbecue corners, fancy ice cream and waffle stations, Indian chaat counters, pizza and pasta dens, and pan corners add a delightful touch to an event.

These live counters offer a unique and interactive experience, as they can watch the food being prepared in front of them and customized as per their liking.

Visually appealing food

In today’s social media-driven world, attendees seek out experiences that are Instagrammable. Event planners must ensure that their F&B options are visually appealing and provide an extra opportunity for attendee engagement.

This could take the form of creatively designed mini-cupcakes or experimental beverages or simply a unique way of presenting the food. With the right approach, stylish food can be a significant driver of attendee engagement.

Attractive Mocktails and Cocktails

Attendees love to share their experiences, and the more fun and creative the F&B options are, the more they will want to share. Offering fancy mocktails and cocktails can be an easy and attractive option to add to the menu.

Playing around with foam drinks or fancy designs offers an opportunity to increase word-of-mouth marketing and provide a memorable experience for attendees.
