1.How has your journey been at Six Senses Fort Barwara?
It has been an exciting and enriching experience throughout my journey with Six Senses Fort Barwara. From life experiences to the brand’s focus on sustainability, wellness and community building, I have learned immensely both personally and professionally.

2. Since Six Senses Fort Barwara, a sensitively restored 14th-century fort and India’s definitive wellness sanctuary, celebrates its first anniversary, what are the GM learnings you take up in the upcoming years?
Guest perspective regarding service is more demanding with every passing month, we will need to be more flexible in approaching the service industry and be smarter in selling our properties. People need to see Six Senses Fort Barwara as a destination with all the exquisite experiences we have to offer, rather than just a luxury resort.

3. Can you talk about a few experiences, in the F&B sector that the fort offers to its guests?
With a strong belief in embracing the food that’s good for us and the world around us, Six Senses chooses a cleaner and simpler approach to food.
The Eat with Six Senses pillar of the Six Senses Integrated Wellness philosophy is based on the guiding principles of natural ingredients, local and sustainable menus and less is more, promising guests an out-of-the-ordinary culinary experience.

Our restaurants offer a creative approach to the menus, creating an internal culture of health and wellness through healthier meal choices as well as providing knowledge to support the guests’ well-being. This approach fits perfectly with the Eat with Six Senses philosophy and reflects the resort’s overlaying culinary DNA. It is essential to know the ingredients, and hence Six Senses Fort Barwara reinforces its relationships with local farmers, producers and suppliers, who are committed to responsible sourcing and seasonality. The restaurants combine the best of regional Rajasthani and pan-Indian cuisine with a sprinkle of international influences while embracing the Eat with Six Senses approach.
4. What are the special marketing strategies that the team upholds?
Apart from the FIT, we look forward to positioning the brand as the most luxurious location to host intimate gatherings for social events and private celebrations.
We plan to ramp up the occupancies with occasional buyouts in 2023.

5. What does the hotel’s hospitality concept revolve around?
Six Senses supports the idea of Emotional Hospitality, which is an emotionally intelligent approach to service that begins with empathy.
Our values are extensively practised by the hosts being environmentally friendly and socially responsible.

6. What changes do you bring in after completing 1 year in the industry? Will there be any international collaborations or addition to hospitality practices?
Indeed there will be never-ending growth and upgrades in the services that we provide to our customers. We will expand the wellness program with additional spa rituals and treatments.
We look forward to making an impact through our sustainability and social responsibility towards the local community. We invest back by contributing 0.5% of our total revenue to the community.

7. Where do you see yourself taking Six Senses Fort Barwara in the next 3-5 years?
We aim to set a new benchmark for luxury travel within India, where we want to show the world that luxury travel and Sustainability go hand in hand and that it is possible in Six Senses.
We hope that what we have achieved here, other resorts or institutes will follow, we will be there to help and assist whoever wants to change for the better.
