Rajasthan Tourism has been honoured with two prestigious awards at the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Travel Awards 2024. The state has been named the ‘Favourite Indian State for Road Trips’ and also secured the runner-up position in the ‘Favourite Leisure Destination in India’ category, with Udaipur receiving this recognition.
Expressing her delight, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari said, “It is a moment of pride that Rajasthan has been recognized with two awards in distinct categories at the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Travel Awards 2024. Through active participation in various travel marts and exhibitions, we are dedicated to enhancing Rajasthan’s global presence as a tourism destination. Our objective is to further increase the influx of both domestic and international tourists to Rajasthan.”
Commenting on the achievement, Tourism Secretary Ravi Jain stated that the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Travel Awards are regarded as benchmarks in the hospitality industry. Selected by travellers themselves, these awards signify Rajasthan’s popularity on the global tourism map. He added that the awards reaffirm Rajasthan Tourism’s tagline, ‘Padharo Mhare Desh’.
16,817,114 domestic tourists and 875,940 international tourists visited Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Udaipur between January and September 2024. Jaipur recorded 8,869,703 domestic and 413,401 international tourists. Jodhpur welcomed 1,786,619 domestic and 133,806 international visitors, while Udaipur hosted 6,160,792 domestic tourists and 328,733 international visitors.
