Community Month celebrates giving back, with Radisson properties across India engaging in clean-up drives, educational programmes, health camps, and charity fundraisers. This initiative showcases Radisson’s commitment to sustainability, community engagement, fostering bonds, and promoting a culture of care and support.

Radisson Blu Hotel Pune Kharadi, in association with Radisson Blu Resort & Spa Alibaug and Radisson Blu Plaza Resort & Convention Centre Karjat, organised the RHG South Asia Walkathon. The event was supported by several partners, including Kuber Events, 91.1 FM Radio, the International Institute of Hotel Management Pune, Salon A’fair, the Rotary Club Pune, Nucleus Gym Kharadi, and Motherhood Hospital Kharadi.

The five-kilometre walkathon, starting from the Radisson Blu Hotel Pune Kharadi and looping back from the World Trade Centre, brought together a diverse group of participants, including hotel team members, their families, friends, corporate colleagues, local social groups, sports enthusiasts, college students, and senior citizens.

The event commenced at 6 am, with participants arriving as early as 5:15 am at the hotel’s alfresco area for registration, showcasing high enthusiasm. Specially designed T-shirts and BIBs were distributed to all participants. The morning kicked off with an energetic Zumba session, followed by the official flag-off by Chief Guest Sanjay Borde at 6:30 am. The walkathon saw around 300 participants setting off with great excitement. To ensure everyone stayed hydrated, five refreshment counters were placed along the route. Within an hour, participants returned to the hotel for a cool-down session. Some enjoyed a hearty breakfast from the live counters, while others sipped on ginger tea and juices. Many captured memories with photos, collected their completion medals, and received goodie bags. A felicitation ceremony honoured the sponsors for their support, and 25 lucky draws provided exciting prizes for the participants, rounding off a successful and memorable event.

All registration fees collected from participants were directed to support the Radisson India Charitable Foundation, demonstrating the event’s commitment to fundraising for meaningful causes.

Pankaj Saxena, General Manager of Radisson Blu Hotel Pune Kharadi, remarked, “The walkathon was more than just a physical activity; it was a testament to our brand’s dedication to community involvement and support. The event, with contributions from various partners, was a resounding success.” Saxena added, “It was great to witness such enthusiastic participation from everyone involved.”
