Naptapgo has raised ₹2 crore in a Pre-Seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). The funding will support the brand’s growth across key verticals including franchise development, marketing, technology enhancement, and customer experience innovation.
This strategic investment will boost Naptapgo’s expansion in urban and religious hubs, reinforcing its commitment to offering clean, flexible, and affordable accommodations for modern travellers.
A smart model built for the new-age traveller
Naptapgo is reshaping the hospitality industry by delivering affordable luxury through compact, efficient spaces. Currently operating in the NCR region under the business city vertical, the brand plans to expand to spiritual destinations like Katra and Amritsar in FY26, aiming for 20 properties by FY27. Features such as flexible check-ins, hourly stays, and sustainability-driven operations distinguish the startup in a competitive market.
Founders with deep domain expertise
Naptapgo was founded by Nitin Malhotra (Founder & CEO) and Himanshu Shukla (Co-Founder & VP Ops), both incubated at IIM Lucknow. Nitin, an MBA graduate from Symbiosis, previously founded 247around (acquired) and held senior positions at Texas Instruments and ST Microelectronics. Himanshu, an alumnus of IHM Lucknow, brings extensive hospitality experience from Chaayos, Taj, and Jaypee Resorts. Together, they aim to disrupt the affordable hotel segment with tech-driven, guest-centric solutions.
Backed by belief and business acumen
Vinay Bansal, Founder & CEO of IPV, shared his confidence in the venture: “The hospitality industry is evolving rapidly due to globalisation and digital connectivity, yet service quality hasn’t kept up. Naptapgo is bridging that gap with a unique pod-hotel experience—affordable, accessible, and uncompromising in comfort. We believe this model resonates with millions of travellers seeking smart, short-stay accommodations.”
Scalable, sustainable, and customer-first
Naptapgo’s operational model supports rapid, scalable growth. The brand is currently live in NCR and plans to expand into Gurgaon, Bangalore, Mumbai, Katra, and Amritsar. Impressively, 65% of its bookings come directly via its website and WhatsApp, highlighting its strong digital strategy and customer engagement.
Awards and industry endorsements
Naptapgo’s innovative model—rooted in affordable luxury, compact design, strategic locations, and tech integration—has won accolades such as “Franchisable Concept of the Year 2024” and “Best Booth of the Year 2024.” The startup has also received strategic investment from PSU Balmer Lawrie and was notably endorsed by Anand Mahindra, who appreciated its solution to India’s hospitality challenges.
Vision for the future
Co-founders Nitin Malhotra and Himanshu Shukla noted: “Working with IPV has helped strengthen our framework through invaluable feedback. Our mission is to emerge as a key player in the $1300 billion global hotel industry, starting with India. We aim to redefine the Indian affordable hospitality narrative, with customer experience as our cornerstone.”
