Why were Nagpur hoteliers applauded?

HRAWI, at the 'Empowering Hospitality Conclave & Awards’, at Hotel Centre Point in Nagpur praised the city's hoteliers for their contribution to the industry.

The Hotel And Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI held the ‘Empowering Hospitality Conclave & Awards’ on July 26 at Hotel Centre Point in Nagpur to honour the remarkable contributions of Nagpur’s hospitality professionals. The event gathered key industry leaders to discuss topics including the new Maharashtra Tourism Policy 2024, cybersecurity essentials, technology for enhancing guest experiences, and skill training. The chief guest of the conclave, Dr Sagnik Chowdhury, DDG & Regional Director (Western & Central), Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and special guest Dr Ravinder Singal (IPS), Commissioner of Police, Nagpur City, graced the occasion.

A highlight of the event was the Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Shivkisan Agrawal, CMD of Haldiram Group, for his exemplary contributions to the hospitality sector. Other notable awardees included Jasbir Singh Arora of Hotel Centre Point; Aum Ashok Hansles of Ashoka Restaurant; Satyen Jain, CEO & Director of The Pride Hotel; and Tejinder Singh Renu, Owner of Hotel Pritam, for their excellent contributions to the industry.

The event also recognised several distinguished professionals for their exceptional contributions, including Manoj Bali, General Manager of Radisson Blu Hotel, who was awarded the Best General Manager; Shrikant Mallik, Sous Chef of Hotel Pride, who was recognised as the Best Chef (Hotel); and Amit Kandwal, General Manager of Hotel Centre Point, who was awarded the Best Young General Manager. Anil Nair of Enrise Sayaji and Praful Deshmukh of Ginger received awards for Best New Hotels in Nagpur. Sanjay Gupta of Hotel Nagpur Ashok was recognised for his significant contribution to the hospitality sector in Nagpur.
