Accor expands Asia portfolio with 30 new properties

The hospitality group continues to expand its dominance across strategic markets with 7,600+ rooms set to be added to the portfolio across its preminum, midscale and sconomy division

Accor, the region’s leading international hospitality operator, has signed 30 new hotels and resorts across Asia over the last two months under the Group’s Premium, Midscale & Economy brands.

Daiwa Resorts (Various locations, Japan)

Accor has strategically partnered with JHRA to renovate and rebrand the former Daiwa Resorts portfolio into Grand Mercure and Mercure hotels that will offer uniquely local experiences. Ranging in location from the northernmost prefecture of Hokkaido to the southernmost prefecture of Okinawa, the 23 properties are located close to local hidden gems such as Cape Zampa in Okinawa, Asuka village in Nara, Shiroi Koibito Park in Hokkaido and Senri Beach in Wakayama. Renovations of the properties will begin from Q4 2023 and are expected to be completed by Q2 2024, after which the properties will operate under the Grand Mercure and Mercure brands.

Novotel Living Saigon South (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam)

Accor has further signed and rebranded a property in District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s largest city and business hub. The newly launched Novotel Living Saigon South is adjacent to ibis Saigon South, and consists of 175 guestrooms and apartments, a restaurant, bar, gym and sauna.

Swissôtel Living Jakarta Mega Kuningan (Jakarta, Indonesia)

Accor in partnership with PT Tokyu Land Indonesia has signed an agreement to open a new Swissôtel addressed in Jakarta, Indonesia. Set to launch in Q1 2025, Swissôtel Living Jakarta Mega Kuningan, will become part of Mega Kuningan, a business district with various integrated mixed-use developments located in the Setiabudi sub-district of South Jakarta, Indonesia. The 240-key hotel will offer a mix of studio, one and two-bedroom serviced apartments and will be designed as a compact fusion of Japanese character with Swiss simplicity, for a warm and personal experience throughout the hotel that promotes vitality for the body, mind and soul.

ibis Styles Goa Vagator (Goa, India)

The 142-room ibis Styles Goa Vagator, with a scheduled opening on 29th August 2023, is strategically located on Chapora Fort Road, nestled between ancient forts, North Goa’s iconic attractions, and popular lounges and cafes, 1 km from Vagator Beach with easy access to scenic beaches like Anjuna, Mandrem, and North Goa’s best party destination, Hill Top.

Mercure Bhubaneswar (Odisha, India)

The newly signed Mercure Bhubaneswar is set to open in 2025 in the capital of the eastern Indian state of Odisha.

Featuring 98 rooms and suites, guests will enjoy a range of facilities including two food and beverage outlets, a banquet facility spanning over 300 square meters, a rejuvenating swimming pool and a state-of-the-art fitness centre.

The property is being developed by Specbru Hotels Private Limited, part of the Spectrum Group, which has a diversified interest in real estate, construction, and hospitality businesses in Odisha, already owning and managing multiple boutique hotels in Berhampur, Odisha, and a branded beach property in Gopalpur, Odisha.
Mercure Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh, India)

Mercure Lucknow will open in April 2024, with 110 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, lobby and terrace bars, spa and fitness centre, and 900 square meters of banqueting and meeting facilities. The property will benefit from excellent accessibility, being located on the Amar Path Road and in close proximity to Ekana International Cricket Stadium, hospitals, a retail complex, and corporate offices.

Grand Mercure Agra (Uttar Pradesh, India)

Scheduled for a grand opening in September 2023, the Grand Mercure Agra will boast 168 meticulously designed rooms, promising a comfortable stay for every guest. This newly signed property is strategically located at Fatehabad, a mere short drive away from the iconic Taj Mahal, ensuring a remarkable and memorable stay for guests.
