Sarovar Hotels get fresh and healthy

As the trend to savour healthier food continues to grow in India, seeing the demand in the market Sarovar Hotels has joined hands with NutritionVista to launch Get Fresh – a complete healthy dining menu at Hotel Marine Plaza.

NutritionVista is a US-based company which is bringing in the latest health assessments and innovative tools, and training and support on nutrition and related health issues. The two parties also plan to have the same healthy dining menu across a selection of Sarovar Hotels in the near future.

Ajay Bakaya, executive director of Sarovar Hotels and Resorts, said: “Today, the work schedule has become so hectic that there is nothing defined as lunch time or a tea-break. People tend to overlook what they are having, which results in bad health at a later stage in life. We understand this necessity to have nutritious food and so have launched this new menu.”

The ‘Get Fresh’ menu comprises of 14-healthy dishes and addresses the guests’ needs for worry-free nutrition, without compromising on taste.

“The average young Indian today is aware of the ill effects of having junk food and there is a growing demand for nutritious food. There was a time when junk food was more famous, but for a professional whose work demands are long, we have this new menu on offer,” said Mrinal Jhangiani, managing director, NutritionVista.

On the ‘Get Fresh’ menu, each individual dish is carefully planned to ensure that it has moderate calories and fat. The sodium content of the dishes is kept well within the limit of 480mg per serving. Most dishes have negligible cholesterol and are high in fibre.

The portion sizes are planned to ensure that caloric and nutritional needs are met, keeping in mind the satiety value of the meal. This wholesome healthy meal emphasises whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. It provides plenty of antioxidants and omega 3 fatty acids.
