Sanjay Dutt’s The Glenwalk has delivered a standout performance across Maharashtra. The brand sold an impressive 60,000 cases between April and September 2025, making it the highest-selling Scotch whisky in the state.
While many brands struggled to maintain momentum, The Glenwalk’s numbers speak volumes about its growing popularity and the strong consumer trust it has built — as the first Scotch specially developed for the Indian palate.
Consumer Preferences Fuel the Scotch Surge
This growth comes at a time when diversification in travel retail is reshaping consumer choices. Japanese whisky recorded a 110% rise, and Irish whiskey grew by 51%, but Scotch remains the go-to for gifting and premium purchases. Within India, whisky enthusiasts continue to buy locally, where The Glenwalk has firmly made its mark as a trusted and aspirational Scotch.
Leadership Speaks on the Brand’s Success
“The Glenwalk’s adaptability and foresight have been key to its success,” said Mokksh Sani, Founder of Living Liquidz and Mansionz, and Co-founder of Cartel Bros. “The brand has managed to connect deeply with evolving consumer preferences while staying true to the craft and authenticity that define good Scotch.”
Sanjay Dutt, Co-founder of The Glenwalk, added, “The Glenwalk’s strong presence in this channel reflects its alignment with consumer expectations for quality and value. As Indian whisky strengthens its position at home, Glen Walk’s international appeal and steady performance continue to set a benchmark for excellence.”
