Celebrate India’s Street Food & Flavours with Chaat and Chai Co.

Launched in 2020, Chaat and Chai Co. aims to bring a revolution to the chaat sector in a QSR format. The brand has outlets across Delhi- NCR, Agra, and Lucknow, and is all set to deliver across Delhi-NCR. The brand celebrates the bold, authentic flavours and social gathering traditions of old Indian Street food, accompanied by India’s most loved beverage; Chai.

When it comes to street foods of India, apart from the culinary lure of the dishes, it is the accompanying nostalgia that makes it more appealing. The inspiration behind the brand and its offerings come from famous street foods, bringing India’s colourful roadside food culture to their customers. Indian street food is known for unique flavours, diversity, versatility and every city has its own signature street food culture, from Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata to Chennai and Bangalore to name a few.

Speaking on the occasion of launching the brand, the Founder Suraj Mahant says, “When you think of cuisines in India, it’s not just regional, even street food qualifies as a cuisine and it is one of the very first things you tend to think of when you visit an Indian city. We felt that there has been a gap in the market for an organised space to showcase street food, a place that offers clean and quirky ambience to its patrons, has hygiene protocols in place yet offers authentic fare. Before starting the brand, we did rigorous research on flavours and variety, visited many local chaat stalls across Delhi NCR and even cities like Agra, Lucknow, Mumbai and Kolkata. All the Chaat & Chai Co. items have been developed to be as authentic as possible. The brand takes special pride in its Chai; India’s most iconic and nostalgic beverage. Apart from Chai, there is a selection of chaat and samosas which go best with a beverage like chai, except we went a step further and introduced Chinese Samosa and Punjabi Chholey Samosa, which are quite a hit!

Suraj has been a part of the F&B industry for more than a decade and has previously worked with many F&B giants like Lite Bite Foods & Dabur Group. Being a food enthusiast himself with street food being one of his favourites, creating a delicious product with a nostalgic bearing was something that came naturally to him.

The brand focuses on providing top quality street food, in a safe and comfortable environment. Other measures the brand has taken in order to be more conscious of the times is using environment friendly  packaging.
