Rebel Foods, a cloud kitchen company, has roped in Ashika Capital, an investment banking firm, to look after its growth and success. Ashika Capital will advise the food company on ways to grow its outreach by roping more independent cloud kitchens and expanding them further.
Within this partnership, Ashika Capital will assist Rebel Foods locate cloud kitchens from specific cities in an attempt to take them on a pan India level. The brand already operates cloud kitchens for its own brands like Faasos, Behrouz Biryani and Oven Story.
Rebel also outsources kitchens for brands including Mad Over Donuts, Anand Sweets and Wendy’s. This partnership aims to bring more such brands, big and small, on board with Rebel Foods to give a boost to the cloud kitchen culture.
This collaboration comes at a time when there is a sharp rise in the number of cloud kitchens across India since the onset of the pandemic. More customers are inclined towards ordering food online owing to the convenience and safety that comes along. This presents a great opportunity for food companies to expand their horizons.
Speaking about how the collaboration with Rebel Foods is going to benefit both the entities and the increasing popularity of the concept of cloud kitchens, Mihir Mehta, Senior Vice President at Ashika Capital said, “This association will hopefully bring about positive changes in India’s F&B industry and place smaller and bigger cloud kitchens on the Indian map.”
