During the first lockdown, Ashok Singh Rathore, went all out to reassure the team that their jobs were secure and the company stood by them. Despite the fact that there was no revenue generation, salaries were credited to their accounts and medical support was
extended to employees and their families whenever required.
“We quickly rolled out the ‘Back to Work’ safety corporate modules on virtual platforms to train our associates and prepare them for their subsequent return to the workplace. Additionally, a team was stationed at the Palace for its maintenance and upkeep, and I met them daily to keep them motivated,” he recalled.
Moreover, Rathore was completely engaged with The Botanist, which was conceptualised to offer rustic Tuscan farm-to-table dining experiences amidst the royal splendour of Rambagh Palace.
“We also completely revamped Steam restaurant, improving the average daily cover from 60 to 67. This, in turn, enhanced the APC from INR 1382 to INR 1512 and improved the TripAdvisor rating from 31 to 15,” Rathore explained.
