Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) announced the signing of a hotel in Alibaug, Maharashtra. The conversion project will be branded as a Taj hotel.
Strategic location and luxury offerings
Speaking on the occasion, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President, Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said, “Alibaug’s proximity to Mumbai and Pune has positioned it as a key leisure destination in Maharashtra. Its infrastructure and improved connectivity make it a preferred choice for events and getaways, and Taj will further its luxury offerings on the other side of the shore in Mumbai.”
Resort features and amenities
The 156-key Taj Alibaug Resort & Spa will offer panoramic views and a host of luxury amenities. It will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, Konkan Café, celebrating local cuisine, a bar, and a lobby lounge. With over 8,500 sq. ft. of banqueting space, the hotel will cater to corporate events, weddings, and social gatherings. Guests can also indulge in a swimming pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and Taj’s signature J Wellness Spa, promising a luxurious and rejuvenating retreat.
