Be Inked to get bridal rooms to India

Dubai-based design consultants, Be Inked Architects & Design Consultants Pvt. Ltd, who have recently forayed into India and have a tie up with Mumbai based Interiors Inc, have come up with a unique concept – the Bridal rooms, for Indian hoteliers.

Elaborating more on this new concept of rooms, Fuzail Mistry, director, strategy and projects, Be Inked said: “India is a country where ceremonial marriages take place, and it is an extravaganza spread over more than a couple of days, ending with the honeymoon. The rooms will have purple colour with crystals and platinum all around, giving it a rich feeling. Everything will be very rich so as to make it look royale.”

According to him, the idea of such a room is to have everything within arm’s reach. “In these rooms, you can watch television sitting in the bathroom; you can call the reception through any of the electronic devices; and plus, the run up to the room will sport crystals all the way, giving it a special feeling,” Mistry added.

There will be a shower that will spray mist instead of water, which can be temperature controlled. There would also be temperature control settings of the room and a sound system that would be concealed in the ceiling so that music follows you everywhere, said Mistry.

Be Inked is currently in talks with various hotels in northern India, especially in places like Udaipur and New Delhi, where marriages are truly an event. “We intend to take this concept to three-and-four star properties as well because everyone doesn’t go to a five-star,” said Mistry.

If successful, these concepts could revolutionalise the room concepts in Indian hotel industry.

The design firm is also planning on a few more ideas, one of which is for rooms that are rented generally to travel executives.

“There are specific hotels who concentrate a lot on travelling executives who come for long stays. In these rooms, we plan to have a small pantry wherein you have a microwave, a toaster and some basic washing necessities, as giving clothes to the laundry each time is not viable,” said Mistry.

Those who want to leave for early morning meetings can order for some basic foods the previous night, he added.
